This dream client is a life-long Chelsea resident, surface designer, and artist. The design challenge of this project was to create a space to showcase the client's own work as well as her wonderful collection of 20th century art and furniture, along with the creation of a comfortable, modern home. The project required an entire gut renovation and significant structural work in order to stabilize the building, rehabilitate its historic features, but to also create new modern spaces. The result is a gracious contemporary space where old and new live harmoniously side by side.
